NYC Rooftop Wedding

Liz and Rob were married on the rooftop of 620 Loft & Garden in New York City. The rooftop had stunning views of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, 5th avenue, and 30 Rockefeller Center. It felt like an entirely different world away from the bustling streets and crowds below.

Liz, Rob and their bridal parties got ready at the Lotte Palace Hotel. From their huge windows overlooking the city, we could see the preparations starting at 620 Loft & Garden.

When Liz and Rob sent us their invitation ahead of time in the mail, I just about lost my mind with excitement. Although I’m a photographer now, I began my creative journey in painting and graphic design and always love seeing what couples do with their stationery.

Liz and Rob’s invitations had beautiful custom painted liners of 30 Rock and the NYC skyline, custom designed for them by etsy creator SterlingStripes and perfect for their rooftop wedding.

Attention to small details can go a long way, and all of Liz’s details were beautifully and thoughtfully chosen. A double ring box from The Mrs Box, her sparkly Jimmy Choos, and a few extra stems from her florist made styling these detail photos so fun.

The ceremony was held outside, with the backdrop of St Patrick’s Cathedral, combined with the venue’s historic garden and beautiful floral installations from Blush Designs NY. We loved the detail of their seating chart, which had funny black and white photos of each guest to help them find their place!

One of the features of the indoor space at 620 Loft & Garden is that it’s a completely blank slate you can turn into your own. Couples can create something totally unique, which Liz and Rob did with the help of their planner Leah of Colorpop Events. Leah’s creative touch and organization brought Liz and Rob’s vision to life!

Their reception was held inside, and the pink accents among the neutral gold, white, and navy of their details was a fun pop of color. They had a unique table setup, where  gold chiavari chairs were set beside long tables running almost the length of the entire room. Combined with the candlelight, it made dinner feel so intimate!

Rob surprised Liz with an incredible gift while she was getting ready – instead of dancing inside, they would be dancing outside under the stars and city lights during their reception!

At the end of the night, guests flocked outside into the beautiful summer night to begin dancing. Liz and Rob had their first dance to kick off the party, and it was so much fun to have the entire dance party outside. 30 Rock, St Patrick’s cathedral, and all the surrounding buildings made the whole night sparkle around us, and it was such a fun and romantic way to end the night!

Congratulations Liz & Rob!
