I always get excited when we get to take a trip to Boston for a wedding! Boston has always been one of my favorite cities, the other of course being Paris. Boston and Paris probably couldn’t be any more different, but I love them just the same.
Audrey wore a beautiful Allure Bridals dress from the boutique VOWS, that was the perfect mix of traditional and modern with a sleek silhouette and lace veil. Her sparkling Badgley Mischka shoes and overflowing red bouquet were beautiful accents to her look. Joe wore an incredible custom suit from Indo Chino, along with his groomsmen, who each had a unique lining in their suits. Chris loves when grooms have put so much thought into their wedding day look! The combination of deep blues, neutrals, and reds these two put together as their wedding colors looked amazing together, and were a wonderful theme for a Fall wedding.
One of my favorite things about Hotel Marlowe is how many unique spaces there are for portraits. Chris and I love using greens as a backdrop when we can, and the sweeping lawn and big willows work wonderfully. Just a short walk along Lechmere Canal brings you to a spectacular view of Boston, which means just steps from one another you can have a natural backdrop, and then a city scape.
Audrey and Joe were married on a Fall day that started off gray and dreary (one thing Boston and Paris actually have in common!) Audrey had faith though, and was determined to have their ceremony outside. I can totally understand why, because the outdoor ceremony space at Hotel Marlowe is stunning. A huge willow tree and the Lechmere Canal provide an amazing backdrop for a wedding. Audrey’s determination totally paid off, because when it was finally time to walk down the aisle, the rain had completely cleared up! They said their vows in front of a beautiful arch of draped fabric and flowers, and not a rain drop was in sight.
Towering centerpieces from Kathleen of Boston adorned tables in their reception, with twisting vines reaching for the ceiling. Neutrals with a pop of color are a great way to accent any Fall wedding, and they totally nailed it!
After Audrey and Joe shared their first dance and dinner was eaten, it was time for guests to enjoy the rest of the night on the dance floor. First Class Band were so energetic, and I’m pretty sure they got every single person out there for at least a song or two.
Congratulations Audrey and Joe!
