A Styled Shoot at the Foundry, NYC
Featured on Green Wedding Shoes

This shoot was produced by Ruffled, a wedding blog I used for reference many years ago when Chris and I were getting married. So when we had the chance to be part of this shoot, I was totally over the moon! Even better, it was held at one of my favorite venues in the New York City area, The Foundry.

With a theme like “rose colored glasses”, you know there’s going to be a lot of pink. And I won’t lie to you guys, bright pink is not one of my favorite colors, so I was a little nervous! The Foundry is a totally dreamy wedding venue, and it’s one I’ve been wanting to shoot at for years. So when the opportunity for this shoot came up, I jumped on it even though I wasn’t sure about the theme.

But against the white washed walls of The Foundry, the colors looked fantastic and the pink theme was perfect. I loved the focus on a cool toned pink, and loved it so much it inspired another shoot we did this year that I’m excited to share soon!

One of the pieces of I was most excited about were these floating floral installations by Designs by Ahn. These kinds of installations are becoming more popular, and they’re such a fun way to add your own unique touch to a venue.

Pampas grass brought a floating element to the table itself, which was styled by Amanda Nistor of Ruffled and Michelle Elaine of Michelle Elaine Weddings. Gold flatware and rose pink wine glasses accented the table perfectly, and I was completely obsessed with the pink velvet chairs used to complete the table.

Real life couple Ben and Tina of East of Eden modeled for this shoot, and were amazing to work with. The tartan suit from The Black Tux that Ben wore was totally unique, and the Theia Aster gown looked incredible on Tina!

Thank you to Amanda Nistor of Ruffled for producing this beautiful shoot.
